TVWD receives water from both the Portland Water Bureau and the Joint Water Commission. TVWD is currently participating in the Tualatin Basin Water Supply Project, which involves expanding the Joint Water Commission water source to help meet future water needs.
TVWD participated in the original construction of the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant (WRWTP) and is part owner in the WRWTP, but receives no water from the plant.
