The City of Sherwood is served primarily by groundwater that originates from wells within the City. Sherwood has also entered into a contract with the Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) to purchase additional water needed to meet its demands. The water purchased from the Tualatin Valley Water District originates from the City of Portland. Tualatin Valley Water District has agreed to provide Sherwood with up to 3 mgd of water during the term of the contract. In addition, Tualatin Valley Water District provides operations and management support of Sherwood’s water system.
